AMX-controlled audio visual systems are providing Danish biotechnology company, Novozymes with state-of-the-art presentation facilities at its colourful head office complex near Copenhagen. Installed by Danish installer, Informationstkenik, the AMX system provides intuitive control of video, DVD and PC feeds to projectors and plasma screens in conference suites.
A newly completed home cinema costing almost £1 million to build, has at its heart a control system from advanced control and automation technology specialist AMX.
Operated from a single hand-held touch screen panel, the system controls media servers, DVD, television feeds, three satellite systems and a commercial cinema digital projector.
The panel also controls a Lutron lighting system, air-conditioning, heating and top of the range film screen and curtains, which automatically adjusts to frame the picture format.
Installed on a newly refurbished ?10.5 million Victorian house in London is an AMX home control system.
From a touch screen panel, the householders can control aspects of their living environment. This includes selecting and setting heating or air conditioning systems, controlling lighting moods, opening or closing electric blinds, and calling up music or DVD films from a central media server.
The handheld AMX panel used to control the individual devices in the home is also programmed with a number of bespoke 'one touch' commands, such as turning on the television or turning off all the lights.
A video entry system and keyless door locks provide secure entry to the home. CCTV cameras for security surveillance can be viewed on the main plasma display or any other screen in the house, if required.
A control solution from AMX has been applied at Hallenstadion sports arena in Zurich for the audio systems. The sound system is controlled from a Modero touch screen panel via an AMX Netlink integrated controller. Push button, wall mounted controllers for local controls were also installed in hospitality and restaurant areas. The system also interfaces with other AV equipment.
Providing on-screen annotation capabilities with the Modero touch panel user interfaces, TakeNote is the latest introduction from AMX. Described as being an ?interactive collaboration tool?, it allows users to annotate over any computer application. It provides an easy method of taking notes, highlighting key information, and drawing diagrams.
