The product development programme at Addagrip has led to the launch of Addaprint Deep Print. At 12mm to 15mm deep it is said to provide a an authentic paved or cobbled look surface. Addaprint is a resin-based surface which can be cold applied onto asphalt, concrete or timber.
An Addaset surface from Addagrip has been applied to connect the new Alpine House at Kew Gardens with an existing landscape.
The product provides a flat, slightly textured homogenous surface by binding together natural aggregate within a clear resin. It is a cold applied surface in a choice of aggregates in different colours to match with the surroundings, in this case, the original rock work.
Water drainage of the paths at the Diana Memorial in Hyde Park has been achieved using a landscaping product from Addagrip.
The Addastone TP material was selected for its free draining properties and for its ability to use land drainage in the path foundations instead of conventional path drainage. It could also cope with slopes in the landform.
Surrounding the outside of the water foundation - made in Cornish granite - the surface was also specified for its colour. The dark tone of the colour matched the grass, providing a complementary aesthetic design. Contractors laid 840m? of the Addastone TP surface as well as fitting an aluminium restraining edge around the area.
The product was originally developed as a porous paving system for use around trees. It uses Addastone TP resin mixed with a graded chosen natural or recycled aggregate to provide a fully bound seamless surface without the associated problems of loose aggregate.
Offering an alternative to block paving for residential driveways, the Addaset surface from Addagrip provides a flat, textured, homogenous surface by binding together natural aggregate within a clear resin.
Hard wearing and low maintenance, it is a cold applied surface that is available in different colours from buff to terracotta. Recycled glass can be mixed with the resin and the product provides a solution when local authorities are not able to approve black tarmac schemes. Addaset requires a base course of either asphalt or concrete as a sub surface base. It is a non-slip surface which is easily cleaned with a pressure washer.
Addatex Stone Carpet is a new flooring finish from Addagrip, allowing the creation of decorative floor surfaces using natural or coloured stone. The open structure of the surface containes pores filled with air, creating a warm and soft sensation similar to that walking on a carpet. These pores also collect any dust, which can then be removed with a standard vacuum cleaner.
Resin bonded surfacing from Addagrip's Addastone range has been utilised on the City of Bristol College's Ashley Down Centre, forming part of a ?25million project to refurbish Grade 2 listed buildings. Withstanding heavy traffic from 9000 students, some 2000m? of the product was used. It creates a surface like loose gravel but once bonded has none of the associated problems.
When converting a hospital outbuilding in Epsom into a residential home, Addagrip's Addaset fully resin bound surface provided a slip retardant surface for paths and walkways. Some 490m? of the product with a 6mm rounded buff aggregate was installed on the path around the building. Low maintenance and a natural look are obtained.
Restoring Monmouth's Monnow Bridge, Addagrip's Addastone was specified for a traditional looking surface with modern qualities. It is fully resin bonded, has the appearance of loose aggregate without the associated issues of the substance, and thus provides a hardwearing, durable, slip resistant surface for daily pedestrian traffic.
Industrial floor coating products from Addagrip have been used by Thameslink Trains to provide a protective flooring for its new rail depot in Bedford. A combination of the company?s Addaprime, Addaflow, Addaflor andWBS acrylic was applied across the 4000m² depot to provide a hardwearing and slip resistant surface for this demanding environment.
Using a clear resin to bind natural aggregates to produce a finished surface, Addagrip has launched Addaset. It is a trowelled flat system where a flat, rather than textured, surface is preferred. A wide selection of aggregate is available, claimed to be enhanced by Addaset which is suitable for all types of surface from access roads and car parks to driveways, pedestrian areas footpaths and cycleways. Like other fully bonded surfacing products, Addaset gives the appearance of loose aggregate without the problems that loose aggregate can cause.
