An Old Orleans restaurant housed within a Louisana-style paddle steamer has been refurbished using specialist paints from Akzo Nobel. The paints needed to be able to stand the weather and the marine location, so Sikkens Rubbol Satura was used on the outside, and Crown Trade Extreme Scrubbable Matt emulsion was on the interior.
New anti-graffiti glazes have been incorporated into Crown Trade's Timonox flame retardant range, which can be used to retain, or upgrade, to fire protection and to protect surfaces from permanent defacement. It is a one coat waterborne sacrificial glaze that can be used as part of a Timonox overcoating system, meeting Document B of the Building Regulations.
All three phases of the re-painting of the Technical Development Area at the Wilton Centre, Teeside, have been completed with Akzo Nobel?s SteelSeal architectural cladding coating system. The 10,500m2 cladding surface was then spray-painted with 4VP SteelSeal primer, before two topcoats of 5VF SteelSeal topcoat was applied, in the original Vandyke Brown.
