Environmentally conscious building owners can now specify the Evalon Solar from Alwitra, a flexible photovoltaic single ply membrane that generates cleaner, greener electricity and up-grades, re-waterproofs or refurbishes roof surfaces. Installed in Sandbanks, near Poole, the roof allowed an opportunity to reduce fuel bills for a penthouse apartment directly below as well as feeding surplus energy to the local District Network Operator. Some 100m of the product, with 250m of the company's Evalon V membrane in light grey, has been installed to the roof surfaces. The system incorporates flexible solar cells and waterproofing. The solar electric laminate is fully bonded to the fleece backed Evalon V membrane.

The multi-level roof areas incorporate a combination of the Alwitra Evalon membrane and standing seam detail in dark grey. Claimed to hol the largest collection of British road transport in the world, Coventry Transport Museum has undergone refurbishment with Alwitra?s Evalon membrane specified for the fa?ade. Some 3000m² of Evalon singleply membrane in dark grey and light grey was installed on the roof of the Museum and Priory Place, a development of commercial, leisure and residential properties adjacent to the museum, to provide long term waterproofing protection. The company?s Evalon membrane, available exclusively from ICB (International Construction Bureau) is homogeneous. As it is not assembled from different layers it has a higher solid content than some pvcp membranes. Available in eight colours as standard and others to special order, Evalon is naturally rot resistant and can be fully adhered using a range of adhesives, mechanically fixed, loose laid and ballasted.
