Timber-decking from Arbordeck has been specified for a decking area and access ramp at The Plough Inn in Caunton, Newark. The solution has converted a sloping lawned area into an accessible facility for weekend and evening business. The 17th century stonebuilt pub - the setting of the government inquest into the Huskar Pit Disaster of 1838 - now has a 3.5m by 11m contemporary style decking area. A simple design has converted an area of sloping land into outdoor space, creating a secure and accessible environment for families or those with disabilities or mobility challenges. The deck comprises grooved deck boards, stop chamfered balustrading and stepped access, with a gently inclining timber ramp to one side. Timber decking from Arbordeck has featured in a garden renovation at The Singleton Barn in Ashford. The focal point of the 9m by 15m timber deck is a water feature, which is surrounded by a diamond formation of deck boards.
