Masonry reinforcement products from BRC Special Products have been redesigned. Bricktor Crack Control Reinforcement, suitable for bonding and strengthening brickwork, blockwork and stone walls, has been redesigned into a rectangular welded format. Supplied in a 25mm roll and available in stainless steel and galvanised finishes, it lies flat on the masonry mortar joint.

As part of a project to refurbish its council housing, Falkirk council has specified Rendalath from BRC Special Products to render external walls. Rendalath was chosen as it is suitable for fixing over existing failed render finishes and mixed material backgrounds. It comprises welded wire reinforcing mesh, a suction control sheet and rear stiffening wires, and a breather membrane.

A NEW Masonry Reinforcement Product Selector is now available from BRC Special Products. NEW - Thin Joint Brickforce has recently been introduced into the range. Approximately 1.5mm thick, the product is designed for use in thin joint aircrete masonry. It allows a good bond to be achieved with the mortar and ensures the required joint thickness is maintained. Thin Joint Brickforce prevents cracking which may develop as a result of localised stress concentration. Splice and corner pieces are also available.
