Enabling businesses to meet the criteria of the Disability Discrimination Act, a range of digital wireless WC alarms from Configure has been launched.The kit includes a pull cord, reset button, a flashing light and siren module, as well as further enhancement from a central monitor for areas where sound cannot be heard. All products are covered with a hygienic wipe over front plate.
Providing access over level changes of up to 1m, a short raised vertical platform lift has been introduced by commercial disability access consultancy Configure. Requiring little structural alteration, the lift is easy to install and use. It includes safety gates, non-slip flooring and a manual over-ride release in the event of battery failure. It can safely carry up to 300kg, the company claims.
In response to the Disability Discrimination Act, Configure has launched a range of power assisted door systems. The low energy pneumatic opening system can be fitted to a door to replace sprung manual closers, and can be fitted to open one or more door at a time. It is operated by a light touch pad switch or doors can be opened manually.
