Big Storage at the Printworks facility in Chester uses Corus Colorcoat pre-finished steel. As part of the project Colorcoat Prisma pre-finished steel in silver metallic was specified for the walls as part of a Trimoset composite panel system from Corus Panels and profiles. The company told Building Products magazine that the standing seam section of the roof and the vault are in Colorcoat HPS200 Gooswing Grey.
According to Paul Day of Muir Associates, the Corus crimped steel cladding was an ideal product for matching into the complicated tightly curved wall. He said the cladding creates a 'cathedral-like' feeling in the interior and, by doing this, helps define the build as different from the normally accepted perception of self-storage units.

Replicating Mildenhall's Market Cross, a new bus station in the area has utilised Falzinc by Corus as it achieved the complex roof design, whilst remaining sympathetic to the town's heritage.
Lightweight and durable, the product provides a low maintenance solution with the appearance of lead, which was the material originally used for the roof of Market Cross. For consistency, it was also specified for the fascias and soffits as well as the internal cladding.
The product combines a pre-weathered zinc layer with an aluminium core for long term protection against corrosion. A recyclable material with high residual values, it is workable irrespective of temperature.
