A low surface temperature radiator cover that incorporates a lockable and removable front door has been developed by Coverad. It is designed to be securely locked yet allow supervisory and cleaning staff access to the radiator and its control valves. Normally made from 1.3mm steel with a tough coated finish, the casing can be sized to fit any hot water radiator.

A range of induced air-flow electric heaters for educational, public and commercial institutions has been launched by Coverad. The new heaters are fitted with impact resistant polymer casings to guard hot radiators in NHS Trust premises, nursing homes, prisons and other public buildings. The MODUL8-LST has been developed in conjunction with a County Council to meet the needs of current legislation. They are designed to minimise harm, if a child or older person falls against them. Made from 4.5mm impact resistant polymer which is self-coloured throughout its thickness, it will not rust or flake. Surface temperature of the casing does not exceed 43?C, thus it complies with Safe Surface Temperature Regulations required by the NHS, Health and Safety at Work Act, Disability Discrimination Act, and Building Regulations Part M. Offered in two forms, the vertical model, 1500 by 470 by 150mm is sized to fit in between windows, whilst the horizontal model, 500 by 1000 by 150mm is for under windows and along corridors.

Two new bespoke specifications of Coverad's Low Surface Temperature radiator covers have been launched. The impact resistant polymer and painted steel covers have been re-detailed to incorporate lockable hinged side panels for access to controls.
