Ideal for a kitchen cupboard - Daikin

The Altherma Heat Pump system from Daikin consists of a 6kW condenser unit 'hydro-box' heating/cooling package and a 150 litre un-vented hot water cylinder, supplying under floor heating to the kitchen/living area, master and second bedrooms and bathroom/hallway. The hydro-box is small enough to be installed in a cupboard, along with the cylinder and under floor heating manifolds.

Keeping large leisure areas comfortable - Daikin

Intended for use on larger air conditioning projects, Daikin Europe has extended its R-410A Sky Air Super inverter driven range of air conditioning systems with the addition of new 8HP and 10HP versions. Designated RZQ200 and RZQ250 the units offer cooling capacities of 20 and 25kW and heating capacities of 23 and 27kW respectively. The company claims that the units generate maximum energy efficiency, particularly in ?mid? to ?low? load settings, thereby reducing electricity consumption. Motor efficiency has also been improved by optimisation of the inverter sine wave curve, which evens out motor rotation characteristics, while use of a DC fan motor is claimed to provide good operating efficiency.

Thanks to a new water-cooled version, Daikin Europe NV has extended the operational scope of its VRVII inverter driven dx air conditioning system. The system is designed for use in new-build commercial projects where no roof or external space is available for outdoor condensing units, or where stringent noise restrictions apply. It can also be fitted to an existing chilled water/cooling tower circuit during refurbishment operations. Also, the system layout allows operation independent of the ambient condition. Cooling is achieved by means of a plate heat exchanger, located within the condensing unit casing and supplied with water at temperatures between 10 and 45°C from a cooling tower/dry cooler and - if necessary - a boiler. Capacities range from 27.3 to 81.9kW.

An updated version of its touch controller (I-controller) has been introduced by Daikin Europe, for use with its air conditioning installations. The controller enables systems for entire buildings to be controlled at the touch of a pen. It is intended for use in conjunction with smaller installations of up to 2x64 groups of indoor units, lined directly to the system.

Offices in the Wood House building in Woodingdean, East Sussex, are benefiting from air conditioning provided by the Daikin R- 410AMini VRVII-S equipment. The installation comprises eight Mini VRV heat pump inverter systems with capacities of 14-15.5kW (cooling) and 16-18kW (heating) supplying conditioned air via 24 ceiling - concealed indoor fan coil units.

Fan coil units get four-way blow - Daikin

Indoor fan coil units from Daikin Airconditioning UK now include a new four-way blow ceiling suspended model which has been added to its R-410A VRV II series. The unit is available in 71, 100 and 125 sizes with capacities from 7.1 to 12.5kW (cooling) and 7.7 to 14kW (heating). It is suitable for use in rooms with ceilings up to 3.5m high. Sound pressure levels vary between 18 and 35dB(A) across the range.

Air conditioning goes Digital - Daikin

Air conditioning for the Digital World Centre in Manchester?s Salford Quays is mainly provided by Daikin VRV systems. In all, a total of 21 separate VRV heat pump inverter systems serve the office accommodation in the main eight-storey, fully glazed block and the adjacent five-storey digital black box. The third structure within the development ? the nine-storey technology tower ? acts as a service core with lifts and lobbies, although the top level ?hub centre? contains a centralised computer suite for the entire complex and its tenants. Conditioned air is supplied to office space by 98 ceiling concealed low noise fan coil units.
