The elegant new CONTUR design concept from

Dorma UK The elegant new CONTUR design concept fromThe elegant new CONTUR design concept from DORMA with its inset end caps, allied with clearly defined cubic lines, brings a uniformity of styling to door closers and enables a totally coordinated finish to be brought to any interior design project. CONTUR does not replace the existing comprehensive range of DORMA finishes, but is a clever option for anyone requiring visually matched products for a single build identity. The new design concept applies to the unique range of DORMA cam action closers – the TS 91 / 92 / 93 and TS 97 – along with the ES200 Automatic sliding door and ED200 Automatic swing door operators. Already a particular favourite with the market, the elegant TS 93 with its linear drive mechanism and heart shaped cam even offers improved performance as the new refined TS 93 CONTUR. Previously the unit satisfied the opening force requirements of Approved Document M and BS8300 on doors 875mm or wider – but the high efficiency of the TS 93 CONTUR now meets the requirements on doors of 767mm or above. This means that the resistance encountered when opening the door fades almost instantly, making it light and easy to use for children, the elderly and people with disabilities. As with the previous version, the new TS 93 CONTUR also offers adjustable power, a ‘thinking back check’ and adjustable delayed action – all essential criteria when looking to comply with ADM and BS8300.

Glass wall retains inspiring view

Dorma UK Glass wall retains inspiring viewRedundant buildings at Sutton manor, a dairy farm in mid- Hampshire, have been transformed into a business centre incorporating a large structural glass wall from Dorma. The conversion needed to be sympathetic to the setting and surrounding countryside. With this in mind the glass wall was specified to provide a well lit space and enable views out over the open countryside. The Manet Construct system makes it possible to connect glass-to-glass, or glass-to-building structure in large glass spans (12m in this case).
