Celebrations are under way at a new £4 million housing scheme in Derbyshire as Meden Valley Making Places marks a major milestone.
Work to transform the former site of 50 run-down terraced properties in the mining village of Whaley Thorns is nearing completion.
Thirty five homes have been built at the Derbyshire location through the MVMP project which is a joint initiative between English Partnerships, East Midlands Development Agency and Bolsover and Mansfield District Councils.
The new homes, which have been developed by Bellway have been built to the Ecohomes 'Very Good' standard.
