Chosen for its traditional, aesthetic appeal combined withdurability, FalZinc from Corus has been used to roof and part clad the new St Georges Church in Perry Hill, south east London. Some 1000m2 of the raised seam system was installed to cover the roof of the prominent spire of the church, which was opened to coincide with St George?s Day. Offering the malleability of aluminium with the aesthetic appeal of zinc, it was also used to clad part of the gable wall above a rose window as well as the church tower. On the steep roof 15m sheets long were installed with the help of a fall arrest system.
