Fish landed at the Tyne Tunnel

GBBC Fish landed at the Tyne TunnelDesigned by artist Fiona Gray, ?The ones that got away? series of fish heads and fish tails at the north entrance of the Tyne Tunnel have been created using Ferrocast from street furniture manufacturer GBBC. Celebrating the fact that the River Tyne is now so clean that it has a variety of fish swimming in its waters, the sculptures were made possible by Ferrocast - an engineering grade polymer that can be cast into any shape or form. Standing some 2m high, the fish were finished using a two tone iridescent paint designed to bring them to life.
