The latest addition to Geocel's Geochem range of building chemicals is a brace of ready-mixed tile adhesives - a Non-Slip and a Waterproof version. Geochem Non-Slip is a ready-mixed acrylic adhesive that has instant grab for general use, while Geochem Waterproof is for use in areas with intermediate or frequent water contact.

Called Insta-Stik MP, the company says the adhesive is perfect for fixing plaster board, insulation board and most common building materials. Despite its compact size each can of the product is said to go further than a bulky 25kg bag of dry wall adhesive with none of the mess, hassle or waste. Because the product cures to full strength in three to minutes it is quick and easy to use.

Construction Cosmetics, the brick and masonry restoration specialists, has chosen the EcoChem range of brick care products from Geocel, for a project in Dorset. A new home was blighted by efflorescence all over its walls, and EcoChem provided an alternative to hydrochloric and other acid-based solutions. According to Geocel, Construction Cosmetics made the decision to switch to EcoChem because it is cleaner, safer and greener and because it detected an increasing move towards environmentally-friendly products within the market place. Available in 380ml catridge packs, a toluene-free formulation of QuickGrip multi-purpose gap-filling grab adhesive from Geocel is designed to offer instant grab and bond strength. It can be applied to wood, metal, plastics, brick, plasterboard, ceramic tiles and concrete. In line with EU safety legislation, the company removed the toluene due to environmental, safety, and health concerns.
