For a security alternative to roller shutters, the Hillaldam Coburn Glidemaster is available in a variety of options.
All Gildemaster systems are hung from a top aluminium track, allowing for more headroom and requiring no floor channels. The Royal option features tempered glass for scratch resistance, Crystal is provided with full height polycarbonate panels, Alumina has solid anodised aluminium panels, and the Classic range offers traditional designs.
Said to support timber straight sliding doors with a maximum weight of 50kg, the new Straightway 50 sliding door from Hillaldam Coburn is tested to BS EN 1527 (grade 5). A so-called Straightway blister pack comprises two hangers with nylon wheels and integral ball bearings, one pair of track end pieces, floor-mounted guides, spanner and fitting instructions. The company says that aluminium brackets for wall-mounting are also available.
Movable walls and partitions for room separation are available from Hillaldam Coburn.
Wallmaster offers a series of custom built sound reducing movable walls in single panels. Each panel is locked into position by retractable top and bottom seals. They are 16mm particle boards each side of a timber or steel frame, infilled with acoustic material to achieve the required sound reduction performance.
The Concertina series of expanding panels by the company offers quiet operation with vinyl seals to reduce draughts.
Independently certified as being safe in a fire situation for up to four hours, the new Hillaldam Coburn Straightaway 320 is a top hung, straight sliding fire door system intended for use within factories, garages and warehouses.
Designed for use with industrial fire doors up to 400 kilos, the product is available in kit form, but can also be supplied by the company as a complete system including the fire doors.
Track and hanger aprons are finished in galvanised steel with plated brackets
Widening the choice in sliding partition walls, Hillaldam Coburn has added two new options to its Glassmaster Omega glass sliding door range.
Designed for internal applications, Omega Type GG allows a clear unbroken vision in a sliding partition. It is suitable for use where space needs to be divided into viewable rooms, such as shop fronts, conference rooms, showrooms and waiting areas.
Complying with recent changes in acoustic legislation, the Omega Type RG is a framed glass wall that can be used internally or externally. It comprises movable glazed panels, which have operable seals like a movable wall. Like the Omega Type GG, the Type RG is fabricated with two point suspension only with no centre stack.
Recessed sliding door systems from Hillaldam Coburn's Hideaway Pocket Door Kits range meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act and Document M of the Building Regulations. Prefabricated to fit into an internal wall cavity, they include a pair of three-wheel hangers and steel-wrapped studs with doors at 35 to 44mm thick.
Available from Hillaldam Coburn, the Evolution is designed to provide a suitable solution for automatic door closers to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act. Measuring 545mm long with a cross section of 110 by 120mm, the product is compact and incorporates functions normally installed separately. It acts as a conventional door closer for the able bodied but also provides automatic button operation for wheelchair users or those that require mechanical assistance. Featuring a built in encoder, it does not necessitate separate safety systems, and has anti-crush protection based on an intelligent sensor. The opening time is variable between one and 20 seconds.
Done to a tee As part of a clubhouse design at Collingtree Park Golf Club near Northampton, Hillaldam Coburn supplied its Facade system. This installation provided the necessary aesthetics with sliding/folding timber doors, as well as giving a level access to meet DDA requirements. The entire north bank of doors folds away into one corner.
