Acoustic floor systems for the conversion of the Rotunda in Birmingham have been supplied by InstaCoustic.
The company built on-site test rooms and demonstrated that its C40 and CK30 cradle and batten floor system exceeded the requirements of Building Regulations, Part E ? by 13dB for airborne noise and 19dB for impact noise. Due to the building's circular design, the floors need to follow the building's profile. The CK30 system was also specified as it accepted poured Terrazzo tiling material.
