The company supplied Tommy with a quantity of European Oak, which he used to build an outstanding 'barrel formation' staircase which begins on the ground floor with a 'monkey's tail' before stretching up over five storeys, incorporating turns and rises. In addition, Tommy specified 90mē of rustic Oak flooring incorporating a Wenge 'black' inlay which he used throughout the hallway, first floor lounge area and kitchen.Tommy said he was delighted with the way it had turned out.

The door blanks are made with a three layer tri-laminated hardwood timber core, which assists in eliminating gaps. They are available in a range of thicknesses, sizes and surface finishes and can be supplied as lipped or un-lipped blanks. In accordance with the company's environmental policy, the range has been awarded a Chain of Custody certificate, which means that it has a guarantee on the path taken by the raw materials from the forest to the factory.

Designed, constructed, and part-owned by Sykes, The Loft bar and nightclub has been provided with 120 panels of Bausen. The venue spans 5000ft over two floors, with the company's wooden floors alongside leather sofas and exposed brick walls to create a modern atmosphere. The product was chosen due to the close working relationship between Sykes and the company. Bausen was considered suitable for the project, and with Canadian maple and American black walnut flooring, the oak can be applied in the hospitality and leisure sectors.

James Latham Support for sustainabilityConfirming its commitment to sustainability and its strict environmental policy, James Latham has become a co-sponsor for a sustainable homes show in the South West. Organised by the Somerset Trust for Sustainable Development, the Homes for Good exhibition takes place between 17 and 19 February at the Somerset College of Arts and Technology in Taunton. James Latham Timber and Panel distributor James Latham is providing materials for the construction of a two-way elliptical roof at The Crown Estate's new visitor centre at the Savill Garden, Windsor Great Park. The 100m roof will feature a solid Larch grid system. Each grid will flex in three axes to give the roof its form. Birch plywood will be placed in strips over the top of the grid to brace and stiffen the structure.

Supplied by timber and panal distributor James Latham, existing colours include fiery red, orange and banana. Manufactured by LG Chem, the four new shades are from the LG HI-MACS Solid Colours collection, ideal for adding a contemporary twist to a host of interior surfaces including bathrooms, kitchens, and work spaces. LG HI-MACS works well aesthetically and practically with materials such as natural wood and brushed stainless steel. It is a non-porus material and is designed for surfaces subject to moisture and heavy wear. Its specilist hygiene certificate means it is popular in health care and catering markets and it carries a 15-year limited installed warranty.
