Promising both cost savings and a reduction in cement's impact on the environment, a solution to the problem of damaged cement bags is being introduced nationwide from October 2006.
The tear and weather resistant packaging has been developed for Lafarge Cement, and the company is confident the polyethylene bag does not react with its cement contents. Having been launched in the Midlands last year, Lafarge reports that users have not required a single credit for a damaged or burst bag.
