Raining down in the North - Lindab Building Products |
 As part of a refurbishment scheme, Lindab Rainline pre-colour coated galvanised rainware is assisting in urban regeneration in Manchester.
A total of 160m of Rainline guttering and downpiping, pre-finished in black polyester, has being used on the project. Galvanised guttering and downpipes have also been installed on regeneration projects in Levenshulme and Cheetham Hill. The product has pre-gasketed joints that don't need any sealants.

Serving up galvanised steel - Lindab Building Products |
 Roofing, gutters and downpipes have been provided to a cafe-bar from Lindab's range of Aluzinc galvanised steel products.
Incorporating recycled metal, the Aluzinc roofing material has an aluminium-zinc coating which is suitable for marine environments. The Rainline gutters and downpipes are impact and vandal resistant, with a long service life and ease of fitting.

Colour extensions - Lindab Building Products |
 Designed to be durable and attractive, Lindab now offers an extended range of glavanised steel roof drainage systems.
The Rainline range will not crack in cold conditions and its pre-gasketed joints don't need any sealants because of its low expansion. In addition to the standard colours, the range is now also available in a host of new looks, including copper metallic and tile red.

 Covering 12 diameter combinations, the new RCU and RCFU male-male and female-male reducers are the latest addition to the LindabSafe pre-sealed circular ductwork system.  Complementing its pre-sealed LindabSafe air duct system, Lindab has launched a range of ventilation fans. Included in the range are single and three phase models from 100mm to 1250mm diameter. Models have short case and long case axial fans, wall mounted axial plate fans, centrifugal roof fans and fans in acoustic housings. Air tightness levels to Class D can be achieved.

Air of silence at the opera - Lindab Building Products |
 Air duct ventilation from Lindab is providing silent operation to Copenhagen's new opera house. The product for the main auditorium had to meet PNC15 - the background noise level in a recording studio - whilst also supplying high volume flows.
After replicating the opera house layout and ventilation diffuser issues in the laboratory, the company's solution was based on the displacement principle. This consists of a box with a perforated rear and a black powder-coated grille at the front. Because of the curvature of the hall, each one of the 1700 diffusers for the main auditorium had to be designed for a specific seat.

When in a tight corner - Lindab Building Products |
 Installers can specify LindabSafe ductwork from Lindab in tighter corners with the BKU range of short bend components. The range has an inside radius of 0.6 times diameter with minimum loss of flow rate and efficiency.
Supplied with the joints already sealed, the components push together ready for fixing and are designed to meet DW 144 class C for air-tightness with no need for taping. They are available from stock as 90? bends in six diameters from 80mm up to 160mm. A further six sizes up to 630mm diameter are available to order.
The BKU gives a pressure drop of some 30 Pascals for a flow rate of 100 l/min in 125mm diameter duct compared to 15 Pascals for the same diameter and flow with the standard LindabSafe bend.

 Capping a private residential development currently under construction in the Clifton area of Bristol is HB Polyester coated sheet steel strip roofing from Lindab Building Products. The standing seam strip roofing, supplied as ready to install EvaPanels, features an extra thick 'silver' polyester coating ? the polymer grain of which extends the life of the roof and helps maintain the original colour of the material chosen. These prefabricated EvaPanel composite roofing panels incorporate a PIR fire-resistant foam insulant which ? in addition to providing the required thermal resistance to meet current Building Regulations ? offer time and labour savings on site. Enhancing the overall look of the buildings, the all-steel Lindab Rainline rainwater system was chosen to complement the strip roofing panels. This product range is lightweight and easy to install, yet ? the company claims ? costs little more than the average plastic system.
