The Eclipse range was specified to provide protection against scuffing and soiling in the redeveloped cardiothoracic department. Omnisports Training from Marley Floors has replaced carpet tiles at Chewton Glen Hotel and Spa. In 3.6mm thickness with a natural wood effect design, it provides a multi-sports surface as well as meeting all of the hotels specification criteria. The surface has a polyurethane coating for easy maintenance, and has been tested to BS standards for performance and durability. Other specifications in the Omnisports range are Pro and Competition, which offer thicknesses of 7.65mm and 8.75mm respectively.

New ?state of the art? plate machinery at The Kent Messenger groups print and production department is now standing on Safetred Universal floorcovering from Marley Floors. The machinery is susceptible to the occasional chemical spill so the new floorcovering was specified in an effort tomeet the safety andwear requirements of the company. It was installed in three separate phases over severalmonths to coincidewith the delivery of the new machinery from America. The existing floorcoveringwas removed and the sub-floor prepared with high load underlay ment before being layed with Safetred Universal.

Three separate stairwells at the Macbeth Adult Education Centre in Hammersmith, London, feature Matrix ? a heavy-duty floorcovering from Marley Floors. Some 160m² was installed because of the product?s ?no-polish? easy maintenance regime which will reduce the overall life cycle costs of the floor. Based on previous applications of Matrix, the company knew that it was well-suited to this application. Provided the manufacturer?s maintenance programme is followed, the surface will not require a costly re-application of polish during its projected lifetime. A decorative multi-flake Atlantic blue effect was chosen to brighten up the centre floors and replace the existing lino which was difficult to keep clean and had become worn. Matrix has a barrier layer which prevents migration of contaminants from the subfloor, a biostat which resists fungal and bacterial growth, and a high performance clear wear layer featuring deep clean technology to limit the effects of heavy, everyday traffic.

Specified in a strongbluecolour, the newly launched Marley Sport floorcovering from Marley Floors has made a colourful impact on the sports hall at Wellesbourne primary school in Liverpool. The existing floor had suffered from general wear and tear and water damage. This was lifted before a primer and latex were applied to provide a suitable subfloor on which to lay the new covering. This range is available in a choice of six plain colours and a wood effect. The Supreme option has a thickness of 6.7mm while the Extreme measures 8mm thick.
