An efficient heating system that harvests and upgrades the energy found naturally in the outdoor air has been launched by Mitsubishi Electric.
The Ecodan heat pump boiler gathers over 70 per cent of the heat energy it needs from nearby surrounding air, making it significantly more efficient at providing heating and hot water.
Phase two of Edinburgh's Quay project is being cooled and heated by 25 Mitsubishi Electric City Multi outdoor condensers providing simultaneous hot and cold air to 125 indoor fan coil units.
The air conditioning of the five storey development is monitored and controlled using four of the company's G50 controllers and 25 TG2000 graphic interfaces, which provide the occupants with an accurate representation of the physical layout of the floors, allowing for full remote control of each internal unit.
