Droitwich-based combustion specialist Nu-way is to supply renewable heating equipment to the Northern Island Office at Hillsborough Castle.
The company's Ecoflex and Ecomass 750 boilers, which operate on biomass fuels such as wood pellets, are to provide heating at the 18th century mansion house, home to the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
As part of its range of renewable heating products, Droitwich-based Nu-way has launched a ground source heat pump for domestic use. The company describes the product as providing a complete environmental heating and domestic hot water solution for private houses and smaller commercial properties.
EcoHeat is a water/water unit designed to utilise a collector loop either borehole or ground loop, which extracts low temperature heat from bedrock.

Equipment from Nu-way has been supplied to a government office in Newport, South Wales. Three XGN 2100 burners and three wheel-over shrounds were supplied to the site of the Office for National Statistics (ONS) for a project to replace old dual fuel fired burners. The fully modulating burners, which are microprocessor controlled, reduce hystoresis and therefore increase fuel efficiency.
Following flooding in the area which destroyed its plant room, five Nu-way BG450 gas burners are keeping staff at Carlisle city council?s Civic Centre dry and warm, as well as providing hot water. the company says that typical savings of around 3% can be made on fuel costs with the ?energy efficient? high/low BG450 gas burner. It is quiet in operation and designed for simple maintenance.
Six fully modulating XGN 1000 gas burners from Nu-way have been installed to provide hot water for a luxury apartment complex at South Quay in London. According to the company, the boilers ? which are microprocessor controlled ? reduces hystoresis and therefore increases fuel efficiency. It is claimed that moving to more advanced modulating digital systems can result in typical savings of about 3-8% on annual fuel costs.
