Staff and managers at the Omega Group are celebrating two special anniversaries - the company's 20th and also their 10th year with Spectus. Managing director Rob Morley told Building Products that the key to the company's successful relationship with Pectus has been stability.
'The service and support we receive from Spectus and day-to-day dealings are impeccable,' he said.
Approved to the highest security standards by Sold Secure, Security Doors from Omega Doors have become the first commercial doorsets to achieve these safety ratings, the company claims.
The Omega SE range has been developed in conjunction with Country Shutters, experts in physical security shutters and doors.
Three doors were tested to Sold Secure's standard S308 Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. The Bronze standard is for five minutes opportunist attack, Silver is for ten minutes determined attack and Gold is for 15 minutes dedicated attack. Omega has categorised these as SE-1, SE-2 and SE-3.
Each door is available with certification for locking. Panic bar versions incorporate a drop bar system which prevents the door being opened, if the panic bar is operated through an aperture in the attack face of the door.
Some 100 steel hinged General Purpose (GP) and Fire Rated (FR) doors from Omega Doors have been installed at Warburton's bakery in Wakefield. They were specified for the front, side and rear elevations for personnel access and emergency exit. The Omega FR doors offer 30, 120 and 240 minute integrity ratings and carry Certifire certification.
