Newark-based installer of impact-absorbing play surfacing, Playtop, has launched a range of three-dimensional shapes called Playtop Spheres. Inspired by a project at the Guggenheim Museum, which used Playtop wet-pour surfacing, the rubber surfaces are said to be ideal for adding a 3D shape to play areas in parks, gardens and urban spaces. The spheres are available in three sizes (350, 450 and 600mm) and are fixed to the ground using an anchor. Each ball is covered with Playtop rubber granulate from a range of over 20 colours.
