Remmers resin floor solution
Remmers 6mm Floormix screed was the perfect solution to Lafarge cement laboratories search for a tough, durable and cost effective flooring. The coloured aggregate and epoxy resin floor was installed throughout the laboratories in Derbyshire. Remmers Floors say the Floormix screed was developed to give a hard wearing, slip-resistant, durable and easily cleaned water-proof finish. In the past, the company said, previous industrial and vinyl sheet flooring laid in changing rooms and washing areas were being destroyed within six months.Enquiry number: 12217

Vintage fashion group, Beyond Retro, have selected Remmers' Store Carpet at their recently opened store in London's West End. When the design team were looking for a suitable floor covering for the facility, a converted former car park, they wanted a "hard wearing and durable floor finish, but with the appearance of a natural material, interesting colour and easily cleaned surface" said the manufacturer.

Damage to a cereal production facility was repaired using mortars from Remmers. Honeycombing from inadequate original compaction allowed water ingress and the vertical reinforcement was corroding. Repair included Betofix RM for the overhead repairs to the edges and details of the roof slab. Underground concrete construction works at the University of Essex's lecture theatre have all been waterproofed using Remmers' Waterproofing Systems. The company's Aida Sulfatex Grout and Sulfiton Profi Tight were trowel applied to the external surfaces. Damaged concrete on the facade of Heron House in Holborn, London, has been removed and reinstated with Remmers fast curing Betofix RM mortar. The action was performed due to carbonation progressing into the supporting concrete beams to the depth of the reinforcement, particularly where the concrete cover was low. Installed throughout the Beauty Shop in Huddersfield is a uniform, hygienic and decorative floor from Remmers. The new flooring had to be applied over three different substrates - new concrete, new marine ply and worn quarry tiles. Flexible epoxy resin from Remmers has been utilised on the ride station platform, access stairs and maintenance ramps of Thorpe Park's new 'Stealth' ride. Watertightness at a demonstration house in Watford has been achieved with a full external tanking system from Remmers. Responding to government demands to make basements living spaces, the system was applied using a sealing solution followed by the company's crack bridging bitumen tanking.

Water ingress to a structure on Lowescroft Docks has been prevented using Remmer's concrete repair and protection systems Damaged concrete was removed, corroding steel reinforcement exposed and treated, then all surface defects were treated with the company's repair and fairing mortars as well as protection from Concrete Acrylic and Elastoflex Anti Carbonation coatings.

Following the decay of the Mount Charles Sandstone on the Irish National Museum in Dublin, more than 100 tonnes of Remmers Funcosil Restoration Mortar was specified. Some 3,000m² of old factory floor has been refurbished as part of the redevelopment of a site in Cheltenham into industrial units. Following the application of a self smoothing polymer screed the surface was sealed with two coats of Remmers' BS 200 matt, a fast curing, water dispersed epoxy sealer coat with a durable matt finish.
