Fusion Commercial balustrading has been installed from the ground to the third floor in the shared entrance stairwell. Tailor-made balustrading in Oak has been launched by Richard Burbidge from its Designer Collection of products. A choice of three spindle and two newel designs are being offered. The Designer Collection now includes Arlington, Hampton and Warwick spindles in 900mm and 1100mm lengths, together with Arlington and Hampton newels. The spindles are now 'chunkier' with a 46mm section size as opposed to the 45mm offered previously. Hand and baserails are supplied in 2.4m, 3.6m and 4.2m lengths.

Enabling the specification of a fully certified stair balustrade system, timber products supplier Richard Burbidge has increased the number of environmentally certified timber products in its range of stairparts and mouldings. Some 700 pine products are now certified, including decorative mouldings and a full range of certified stairparts, which include handrails, baserails, spindles and newels. Further products are to be added to the certified range over the next two years, including pine decking and exterior balustrading. To satisfy demand, the company is now pursuing two certification routes, with FSC certification and PEFC certification, both with full chain of custody verification.

Extending its range of stair balustrading, Richard Burbidge has launched a range of white, pre-primed stairparts. The new rainge of timber stairparts includes a selection of spindles, balusters, newels, rails and caps. Turned spindles include 32mm Georgian and 42mm Colonial designs in 900mm and 1100mm heights as well as 32mm Edwardian and 41mm Imperial spindles at 900mm. A range of newels is also offered including intermediate, winder and complete in 82mm and 90mm sizes. Added to these are two newel bases, 32 and 42 groove HDR handrails and co-ordinating baserails in 4.2m lengths. The stairparts range is primed in a white eggshell finish.

Two aesthetic advancements have been made by Richard Burbidge to its Fusion stair balustrading range. A new rake and landing baluster bracket has chrome plated or gold metalised finishes to co-ordinate with the existing range of Fusion balusters. The new brackets are screwed to the baserail and handrail. Once installed, they hold the pre-cut Fusion balusters in place using a ?cruciform fixing mechanism?. The company has also introduced a newel cap, designed to fit on top of the Fusion newel posts, for an easy and professional finish.
