Stylish staircase finish

Richard Burbidge's new Fusion Commercial Glass Panel stair balustrade system has helped create a stylish reception area at the recently refurbished Paperback Collection and Recycling Plant in Deeside.
The Fusion Commercial Glass Panel system has been installed on the main staircase and landing in the plant's entrance. Combining dark hardwood handrails and newels with metal connectors and glass panels.
Compliant with UK Building Regulations, the product is strength tested to withhold loadings of 0.74 kN/m, making it suitable for use on shared stairwells.

Burbidge strengthens commercial balustrade range

Richard Burbidge has extended its commercial range with the introduction of a stainless steel system which is suitable for a wide range of applications.
The new modular handrail and balustrade range incorporates curved or continuous steel handrails with steel newels and a choice of glass panels or steel balustrades.
The system has been independently tested to resist loadings of 1.5 kN/m and 3.0 kN/, making the system suitable for busy commercial environments and multi-occupancy residential developments. The system also features an adjustable handrail height to meet Building Regulations requirements.
The range is suitable for use on concrete, timber and metal substructures.

A Fusion at park lodge

Richard Burbidge has supplied its Fusion Commercial outdoor balustrade system with glass panels to a new park lodge in Lincoln.
Incorporating hardwood handrails and metal newels, Fusion Commerical balustrade was installed around the external deck area to provide a safe and stylish barrier, whilst the glass panels helped to maximise the sense of space on the deck.
Jonathan Wraith of Brampton and Thonock Park Shoot commented: "We were instantly attracted to the stunning aesthetics and clean lines of the Fusion system. Plus, Richard Burbidge's ability to deliver the product on time was a real bonus. It was important to us that we used a product that reflected the design aspects and quality of the lodge".
Fusion Commercial is strength tested to 1.5 kN/m, in line with British Standards.

Crystal-clear Fusion

Richard Burbidge's range of Fusion Commercial indoor balustrades has been extended to include a new Glass Panel System.
The new system is based on Fusion's combination of round oak rails and newels with metal connectors in a brushed nickel finish. The Glass Panel System is offered with a glass infill option, as an alternative to the traditional metal balustrades.
Available off-the-shelf, the new Glass Panel System is an affordable and readily available alternative to costly bespoke glass structures, says the firm, reducing lead times.

Glass Juliette Balconies

The Fusion Commercial outdoor balustrade range has been enhanced by Richard Burbidge with the addition of its new system suitable for Juliette Balconies.
The new Juliette Balcony system offers modern styling, with flexibility of design and installation, without bespoke costs and lead times.
Based on the popular Fusion combination of metal rails and connectors with timber handrails, the new system features two glass infill panels available in two different sizes. The system can be installed with an additional timber or modern metal handrail, or alternatively without the extra handrail.
The system has been tested by FIRA to resist loadings of 0.74kN per m in line with Building Regulations, making it suitable for residential use.

A host of balustrade options

New timber options and time-saving components have been introduced to Richard Burbidge's Fusion Commercial stair balustrade range.
Fusion Commercial is now available in white oak, and sapele, offering a greater choice of timber options, combined in the range’s contemporary union of timber and metal.
Also new are pre-assembled metal balusters, supplied ready to install with connectors pre-attached. Pre-finished newels, delivered pre-drilled and pre-morticed have been bought into the range.

Richard Burbidge's Fusion Commercial stair balustrade has been installed in a contemporary cafe bar and grill restaurant in Blackpool town centre, helping to create a safe and stylish environment for customers.
Designed by Blackpool businessman Riccy Caunce, Toast Cafe Bar and Grill restaurant provides a relaxed cafe bistro atmosphere by day and a sophisticated grill restaurant by night. The former bank and building society has been transformed into a two-storey eatery providing customers with the atmosphere of a 'city centre' venue. With seating for up to 90 people inside, Toast cafe bar & grill restaurant has now been granted permission for further seating, outdoors, allowing tourists and regular patrons to make the most of the seaside views.
Fusion Commercial stair balustrade has been fitted to the main restaurant staircase, which connects the ground floor with the mezzanine floor.
