A waterproofing system from Rock Asphalte will be keeping the rain off visitors to a new shopping, leisure and residential development in Exeter. The waterproofing products manufacturer also provided pre-construction input for the 530,000 sq ft Princesshay Shopping Centre. Over 18,000m of Rock's Fully Bonded Flexiphalte Triple Protection polymer modified asphalt/membrane systems were installed to a number of interlinked roof areas at the shopping centre and the car park areas.

When re-surfacing work to one of its dealership?s vehicle decks was required, VW Audi employed Rock Asphalte to meet the specification in a two-day time frame. Some 1000m² of Flexiphalte CDPM³ vehicle deck system was installed, replacing the failing bitumen and aggregate surface.

Chapelfield, a ?275 million retail led, mixed use regeneration scheme in Norwich will feature one of Rock Asphalte?s largest ever Flexiphalte triple protection roofing systems, spanning some 13,000m² . The roofing/structural waterproofing system was specified by Architects BDP (Building Design Partnership). It offers two waterproofing layers underneath a third layer of insulation. Guaranteed to last the designed life of the substrate on which it is layed, the roofing carries BBA certification. The system consists of a Flexiphalte Baryprene membrane fully bonded to the substrate in hot bitumen. A modified mastic asphalt is then bonded to the membrane and overlaid with a layer of insulation.
