SGB Rovacabin Gym fixed it in four weeksWhen Plymouth Argyle FC needed new gym training facilities at its Home Park ground the decision need to be quickly acted upon. In just over four weeks SGB Rovacabin had designed, specified, planned and installed the new facility. Designed with extra high ceilings ? three metres ? reinforced floors and improved ventilation the gym enables the club?s first team players to train on-site. Ceilings are higher to allow additional headroom for the fitness equipment, floors made to a bespoke specification to take the weight of heavy gym machinery together with the continual pounding it will be given by the players. The Rovacabin has been designed to be portable ? the site is undergoing redevelopment, so it needs to be easily moved around the ground. Stadium manager Chris Mitchell said the service and support offered by Rovacabin meant: ?Our tight deadline could be met giving benefits to all who will be using the facility and therefore the overall Club performance.? SGB Rovacabin provides portable accommodation and secure storage to a diverse range of sectors and the company claims there is: ?No such thing as a standard unit.? Any plastisol finish coated steel, or textured paint finish from the BS RAL range is on offer, as is a selection of renders and stone aggregate. The standard Britannia brick slip range is available too, or full brickwork can be provided. Exteriors can be customised to match corporate and badging requirements as was the case at Home Park. Special features or cladding can be used - even glass can be etched or coloured to suit the required styling The units consist of steel framed building sections typically 3m by 12m, that can be linked horizontally or stacked up to three high. They are said to avoid the cost and inflexibiltiy of tradional building methods, and offer an alternative if conventional planning permission is difficult to obtain . The units, which are built to ISO 9000 are said to be vandal-proof and fire resistant. They are available to rent, buy or lease .
