Saint-Gobain glass has unveiled a new version of its SGG Cool-lite SKN 165 as an addittion to its solar control glass range. The SGG Cool-lite SKN 165 is said to allow plenty of natural light to enter a building due to its neutral aesthetics and high light transmission. This is combined with a good solar factor of 0.32 and extremely low optimum U-values of 1.1 W/m2.k. The company says that the SGG Cool-lite SKN 165 creates more comfortable interiors and dramatically improves energy efficiency by reducing needless heat loss and overheating all year round. It adds that the SGG Cool-lite SKN 165 is suitable for any application where heat-strengthened glass is needed.
