Due to a radio frequency, a new digital electronic thermostat from Salus Controls can be placed anywhere within a household.
The two-unit RT300RF is a digital solution for where a non-programmable thermostat with no-wire installation is required. It enables a set-point temperature to be maintained whenever the time-clock is set to be on.
By transmitting secure radio signals to a hard-wired RX receiver/switching unit, it helps avoid the need for long cable runs. As well as one-touch operation, it has a battery replacement indicator.
Designed to meet the requirements of all domestic installations, a new three model range of thermostatic radiator valves has been launched by Salus Controls.
The range, which conforms to BS EN 1254-2, is available in a luxury polished chrome finish. All models incorporate features such as reversible flow body, frost protection and a switch-off cap.
They, according to the manufacturer, offer the flexibility of horizontal and vertical installation with the range comprising two models ? the TRV150A and TRV150S ? suitable for connection to 15mm pipes. The third model, the TRV 150A-R, is a 15mm angled TRV, which includes a reducing kit for 10mm and 8mm pipes.
The company says the range is aimed at specifiers looking for product reliability and performance without a premium price. All models, it says, are "simple to install and fault-free to operate offering accuracy and reliability of control".
A cylinder thermostat and wiring centre have been added to the range of products available from Salus Controls.
The new CT100 product is a surface mounted mechanical thermostat that allows the user to control the temperature of a variety of domestic hot water cylinders. It can be used as a pipe thermostat.
Facilitating quick system testing, the new TC100 wiring centre can be used on a variety of heating systems. With a flame retardant outer case, it has large connections for easy fixing and cable clamps to hold wires in position as well as being BS6220-compliant.

Alongside its EP100 single channel and EP200 two channel heating control models, Salus Controls has introduced the EP101 - a volt free/230V selectable single channel model.
The single channel programmer is able to alternate between being a volt free programmer or 230V, courtesy of a jump wire. Featuring three on/off periods and a switch that alternates between 5/2 and seven day programming, it is suitable for systems with low voltage control circuits, such as combination boilers or warm air systems.
Enabling the thermostat to be placed anywhere, Salus Controls has introduced the wireless RT500 RF. It operates by transmitting secure radio signals to a hard-wired RX receiver/switching unit placed adjacent to the boiler. Automatic time and temperature control is provided.
