High efficiency boilers are available from Saunier Duval with combi, system and heating-only options available in sizes from 18kW to 35kW. The Thema Condens is a SEDBUK 'A' rated combi boiler with a stainless steel heat exchanger, whilst the IsoFast Condens is also SEDBUK 'A' rated and has a built-in micro-accumulator and four-litre integral store, and the IsoTwin Condens can deliver up to 200 litres of DHW.
With the advent of the Scottish Building Regulations Part J, which come into effect in 2007, Saunier Duval is upgrading its service and training provision.
Anticipating the move towards high efficiency condensing boiler installations, the company has appointed nine full time service engineers and opened a new training centre in Scotland.
Saunier Duval aims to make inroads into Scotland with its new Therma Condens range. The high efficiency range features a high grade stainless steel heat exchanger providing corrosion resistance, while the filters on the mains water inlet and central heating return prevent blockages.
Dual benefits of virtually instant hot water and economy of fuel were factors in the specification of a Saunier Duval EnviroPlus condensing combi to replace a 25 year old unit at a property in Kent. This is a SEDBUK A rated boiler, which was fitted with relative ease thanks to its versatility. Connections to a tank in the loft were removed, and the boiler connected to the mains water supply. Slight alterations were also made to the electronics, as there were differences between the old and the new system. The condense trap was then linked to a drain, followed by filling the system using the built-in filling loop, testing and adding inhibitors. Offering a 24kW output, the F24e boiler promises energy savings, low emissions, and a 5sec. hot water response.
