Decorative metal wiring accessories with a variety of stylish plate finishes are now available from Scolmore International. The nine finishes in the Deco range provide a decorative option with antique, polished and satin brass, polished chrome and satin chrome, black and pearl nickel, and stainless steel being available. Switches in the range feature the same modular design as the company's moulded ranges and can be used together in any combination. All switches are supplied with the appropriate switch module although the installer can customise a switch arrangement by substituting switch modules through a single fixing screw. Providing a simple method of maintaining insulation levels in a ceiling viod or attic while ensuring a free flow of air around recessed luminaires, Scolmore International has launched the Flameguard insulation support box. The insulation support box provides full compliance with Building Regulations relating to thermal and acoustic insulation and fire protection, while also ensuring the luminaires do not overheat. It provides a rigid skin to lay the insulation over. In this way the insulation remains in tact, while air is allowed to circulate around the luminaire to dissipate heat. Designed to fit most standard truss spacings, the box is available with fixing centres at 400mm and 600mm.

The compact 8-port media plate allows multiple cables to be fed into the media plate. Walkover lights using LED light sources, supplied by Scolmore International, have been used to replace existing fittings on walkways in Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport. The original fittings were subject to damage by passers-by so the new lights were specified for their durability.
