The product utilises stress graded parallel timber chords that are plated together with a precision engineered metal web to provide strength. Bespoke joinery manufacturer Scotts of Thrapston has supplied all the doors for the new music block at Wrenn School in Wellingborough. The architects have also chosen the company for a contract to provide nine more doors for an extension to the music block at the School. In the current project, along with pre-hung doorset frames there were 27 doors commissioned, including acoustic doors for ten music rooms. The contract also included fire doors with a fire rating of FD30. The acoustic doors are specifically designed to keep noise inside the music rooms and to prevent any distracting sounds from filtering in. In the same year the company has also supplied doors to the penthouse developer, the Dekra Group, providing all of the doors for a ?3m penthouse in Kensington, London.
