The product utilises stress graded parallel timber chords that are plated together with a precision engineered metal web to provide strength. With the lightness of timber, it has improved rigidity and performance characteristics when compared to traditional timber joists, the company claims.

Bespoke joinery manufacturer Scotts of Thrapston has supplied all the doors for the new music block at Wrenn School in Wellingborough. The architects have also chosen the company for a contract to provide nine more doors for an extension to the music block at the School.
In the current project, along with pre-hung doorset frames there were 27 doors commissioned, including acoustic doors for ten music rooms. The contract also included fire doors with a fire rating of FD30.
