Bolton-based Lancashire Trade Frames is celebrating the sale of its first bi-fold door with orders for plenty more. With the help of Siegenia-Aubi, who is providing its popular, high performance FS-Portal hardware for the doors, the Lancashire fabricator is confident that this is the start of something big.
Production director Jason Hollins said: 'We wanted to create the best possible bi-fold door, and so we turned to Siegenia-Aubi. I've used their products since I first started out in the trade and Siegenia-Aubi area sales manager John Chambers has been instrumental in helping us get the first door exactly right. Now we're ready to start manufacturing on a bigger scale.'

Aeropac ventilation systems from Siegenia-Aubi have been a popular choice amongst specifiers for housing alongside motorways where noise control and fresh air are crucial.
Philippe Doneux of Acoustica, a Sydney-based firm with 20 years' experience in fitting ventilation systems, said: 'The challenge was to stop traffic noise and pollutants getting into apartments through open windows, whilst at the same time letting fresh air in. With its filtration capabilities, Siegenia-Aubi's Aeropac was the ideal solution.'

Easy access window hardware has been launched by Siegenia-Aubi to aid window operation for disabled and elderly people.
The new Favorit Stay KF23Z has been designed to address accessibility problems such as out of reach handles. A low-level handle with peripheral interlinked fittings allows movement with minimal effort from the user.
It can be used with other products from the company. An electric motorised system Motor Handle MH10 allows for operation by a button, and its remote monitoring and operation system, Aerocontrol, can be programmed in accordance to user preferences.
Incorporating concealed hinges, the new Axxent tilt and turn window hardware from Siegenia-Aubi can be fitted to the most narrow of window frames.
The product is a clampable concealed hardware system for aluminium euro-groove profiles that will fit any groove sized between 10 and 14mm with no need for jigs or screws. It has a 100kg weight limit and provides a 110? opening for emergency egress. There is also a built-in mishandling device.

The Cape is an art deco styled scheme on the outskirts of Brighton, comprising of a mix of 22 luxury apartments and townhouses in gated grounds. Trojan Aluminium won the contract to supply and fit 100 windows and tilt and slide patio doors which provide access to private balconies.
The PSK LM tilt and slide hardware has been specifically designed for aluminium profiles and is now a replacement for in line sliders, which also meet Document L of the Building Regulations.
Eight Aeropac ventilation systems from Siegenia-Aubi have been installed to regulate office temperatures at Mila Hardware, while keeping background noise to a minimum. The Aeropac systems will maintain a constant flow of air to the building, eliminating humidity problems even with the windows closed, whilst its filtration capabilities combat air pollution.

On the River Thames in Battersea, a specification for a newbuild housing development from door manufacturer, Soundcraft, utilised hardware from Siegenia-Aubi.
Soundcraft delivered 250 glazed screens and 400 sliding doors - some of which were up to 2.5m? - providing access from bedrooms and living areas into a glass-walled 'conservatory'. The glass is 16mm thick and some of the doors weigh more than 200kgs. Load bearing properties of up to 400kgs are provided by the HS Portal sliding door hardware range.
