Socket and Services boxes - Sound Reduction Systems |
 Acoustic insulation experts Sound Reduction Systems have launched a new brochure in support of their Robust Detail compliant acoustic socket and service boxes.
Fabricated from two layers of 10mm thick high density gypsum board, the sound insulating boxes are designed to ensure the acoustic integrity of any metal or timber framed separating walls that contain sockets and/or services.
The boxes have been designed in Line with Robust Detail guidance, and are suitable for use with E-WT-1, E-WT-2, E-WS-1 and E-WS-2. However, the boxes can also be used in standard applications, where Robust Details are not required.

 Constructed on the 'wine box' principle from recycled materials Aquavoid from Source Control Systems is said to offer a combination of versatility, strength and rigidity in the conveyance, attenuation and infiltration of stormwater.
Made in the UK the integrity of the product is said to be enhanced by the inclusion of perforated pipework within three 'inter-leaf' configurations to provide a choice of load bearing options from shallow through to deep even in situations where such loadings are not truly vertical.

Fabricated from two layers of 10mm thick high density gypsum board, the boxes are designed to ensure acoustic integrity of any metal or timber framed separating walls that contain sockets or services. Designed in line with Robust Detail guidance, they are suitable for use with E-WT-1, E-WT-2, E-WS-1 and E-WS-2 as well as standard applications. Installation is by screw fixing.

 Planning requirements at top floor apartments at a development in Yeovil, in the proximity of a nightclub and supermarket, have resulted in the specification of two layers of Sound Reduction Systems' Maxiboard. Some 600m² of Maxiboard was used at the development, which was installed instead of the original requirement for five separate layers of materials.
