As part of an initiative to replace 40 'failing' PVC-u windows at a David Lewis Centre in Cheshire, Spectus were asked to provide its Sightline 70+ system. The centre provides care for patients suffering with epilepsy and other neurological conditions. The system is fully integrated with a multi chamber profile and reinforced for extra strength.
An update to the Spectus' Elite 63 range of PVC-u windows means the product now includes the new A32 Slim Z Sash. The profile, which measure 62mm wide across the front face, is said to enable slimmer opening fan lights to be produced. The sash is available in all main finishes including white, light Oak on white and tan, and Rosewood on white or brown.

Offered in over 20 folding options, the doors can feature up to seven panes, which will fold almost flat. All profile styles are available ? bevelled, chamfered and ovolo ? and in sizes from 2m to 6m wide and 2.3m high.
Student accommodation blocks in Leeds have been fitted with Spectus' Sightline 70 tilt and turn frames.
The company's Sigthline 70 were supplied in grey with a foil finish. A lockable 'tilt and turn' mechanism allowed management to open the windows for cleaning, whilst students can only open the tilt mode for ventilation.

Colour options for the Vertical Slider System from Spectus Window Systems have expanded with the introduction of rosewood. The product was developed by the company to meet demand for a pvc-u system that could be used in traditional settings. It has been utilised in conservation areas and listed buildings.
Traditional style VS profiles from Spectus are fulifilling the conservation requirements at listed Wimborne Junior School in Portsmouth.
The profiles are designed to look like original vertical sliding sash windows. Combining aesthetics with modern performance, the white windows have the thermal efficiency of modern PVC windows.
The windows fabricated for the school included period details such as a deep bottom rail for a traditional vertical slider and opening mechanism. In order to increase the weather resistance there is pile seal detail on the outer frame and the sash edges.
When upgrading two blocks of flats in Macclesfield, Spectus installed its Sightline 70 Reversible windows.
Over two hundred windows have been fitted to enclose the flats' balcony areas. Enclosing the balconys has provided additional space, allowing for all year round access. It has also made a clean, dry, and secure area.
The flats were refurbished when the original single glazed windows were replaced with the double glazed pvc-u windows made from the company's Classic 62 profile.
The windows are suitable for high rise buildings as they are fully reversible and so can be cleaned from the inside.
