stokvis energy systems has developed the Econoplate 'C' series of packaged plate heat exchangers to be used in conjunction with condensing boilers.
Designed to operate with lower primary temperatures, the 'C' series Econoplates are available in three ranges with outputs up to 742 kW. The product operates with flow temperatures of 70 degrees celsius and achieve return temperatures in the mid forties (degrees celsius), making an effective contribution to boiler efficency.

The Econoflame range of commercial and industrial boilers from Stokvis Energy Systems has been expanded to include nominal heat outputs of 40 to 1189 kW.
According to the firm, the pre-mix, ultra low NOx condensing boilers all exceed Part L Building Regulation requirements and are included in the Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme.
Features on the range include the matching of part load conditions from 100 per cent down to 20 per cent, ensuring that optimum efficiencies are achieved. Stokvis Econoflame boilers can be easily sequenced or cascaded to achieve even greater turndown ratios in multiple boiler installations, helping to maintain efficiency levels.
With both atmospheric and pre-mix ranges available, the Econoflame units are ideally suited for replacement of out-dated, inefficient boilers, says the firm.
A comprehensive range of packaged plate heat exchangers, suitable for a range of commercial and public sector building applications, has been unveiled by Stokvis Energy Systems.
Available in up to seven ranges, covering over 200 units, Stokvis Econoplate units can be used for hot water generation to swimming pool heating and even complex process heating installations. The exchangers provide an effective system for the controlled delivery of hot water for various demand requirements.
Stokvis Econoplate units produce hot water instantaneously without the need for hot water storage. Each unit is built around an epoxy coated chassis containing the heat exchanger. Most Econoplate units come with primary pumps, and can be accommodated into most BMS systems.
Stokvis has launched Modupak, claimed to be an extremely versatile prefabricated package comprising up to five skid-mounted 120 kW condensing boilers.
The unit can supply up to 600 kW of heat (or versions from 45 kW up to 600 kW) and is based on the Stokvis Econoflame R30 high efficiency condensing boiler which offers full modulation and ultra-low NOx emissions.
Modupak units are compact and incorporate low-velocity headers, pumps and controls, and can include a plate heat exchanger and pressurisation set. Pipework is preassempled and supplied in kit form.
Stokvis Energy Systems will feature an evacuated tube solar collector linked to boilers and plate heat exchangers which saves money by maximising the energy efficiency of heating systems, while minimising heat loss through radiation.
The ultra high efficiency Ecotube, developed and patented by Riomay and now available from Stokvis Energy Systems, radically reduces the amount of 'parasitic' energy (energy used up by the system itself when converting solar energy to heat) lost by most evacuated tube solar heating systems. As a result, the system requires smaller pumps to circulate the fluid in the evacuated tube collector, which means that there are fewer drops in pressure through the system, giving a sustained level of heat.
Independent laboratory tests prove that the Ecotube produces more than 750kWh/m2 per year in direct heating mode and a 850kWh/m2 per year in pre-heat mode.
