Stormking Plastics Stormking introduces robust and durable cillsStormking have launched a range of reproduction stone cills to add to its portfolio of products for modern methods of construction. Made from GRP using Stormking's own closed mould resin transfer technology, the cills are lightweight yet extremely robust and durable. The company says the new reproduction stone cills are exceptionally quick and easy to fix and are available in Portland, Bath and York finishes. They are designed to be face fixed, using all weather adhesive, after brick render work has been completed. The new cills are also said to be suitable for all weather site working and for all types of construction. Stormking's reproductions stone cills are made to customer size specifications from a range of standard sizes and Stormking also offer a full take off service if required. Following extensive site trials, the new cills have been used highly successfully by Kings Oak Homes for a mixed dwellings development in Northampton.

Door canopies and surrounds were also used throughout the development to provide interesting entrances with one piece dormas, supplied ready for glazing.

BBA certification for glass-reinforced plastics

Stormking Plastics BBA certification for glass-reinforced plasticsThe specialist Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) manufacturer Stormking has introduced a range of prefabricated building products which have been given BBA certification. These BBA approvals apply to Stormking's complete dormers and bay window roofs. The Irish company is headed by Liam Kelly who has experience of the GRP market and is well known in the industry in Ireland. He will manage the Irish operation, covering private house builders and public sector markets where the time and cost saving features of the Stormking products range have proved popular. Side cheek framing is bonded to the GRP 'skin' and is positioned in line with the support trimming rafters and secured in place.
