Terrapin wins green award for excellence - Terram Limited |
 An impressive environmental record has won Terrapin a Business Excellence Award from the Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
The Environmental Award recognises achievements in recycling, waste reduction and related green initiatives.
Terrapin has implemented an environmental management system during the past year.
This includes a waste management policy to minimise the environmental impact of its Buckinghamshire factory and offices and site operations.
In addition, the Terrapin Green Team, formed in November 2006 and headed by MD Patrick Howlett White, directs environmental improvements throughout the entire business.

Protection from the roots - Terram Limited |
 To combat the problem of tree roots damaging pipework, Terram has launched the Root-Guard Plus and Root-Guard.
The Root-Guard Plus is designed for applications where no need for a permeable barrier and it uses a non-woven geotextile and high density polyethylene for protection.
The Root-Guard has been developed for situations where it is necessary to have a water permeable barrier. This uses bonded polypropylene for resistance to tree roots.

Agent orange - Terram Limited |
 With the top surface in orange, a range of geotextiles has been launched by Terram to signify hazards below ground to subsequent site users.
The products are suitable for landfill sites or where there is contaminated ground below. A composite drainage material, it has been applied in Ireland over a 18000m? hazardous area. It also ensures that environmental requirements are met.

Lightweight ground retention - Terram Limited |
 Designed for ground stabilisation, erosion control and retaining structures, Terram has introduced its Cellular System. The honeycomb structure confines the infill material yet allows the free movement of water and nutrients. It is a lightweight material and permits the use of a variety of infill materials including soil, aggregates, concrete as well as native materials.
