Panels perform under fire

The Ward Firesafe range of roof and wall panels promises to deliver exceptional performance. This promise was recently put to the test when an electrical fault at the Ampress Business Park, Lymington, caused a fire in one of the units, which destroyed the contents of the building but left the Ward roof panels intact. The roof was built using Ward IP1000 roof panels, which were fitted over four years ago. It is one of the company's most popular products.

A single system for luxury apartments

An all-in-one single ply roofing system from Ward has been installed on a development of luxury apartments in Leicester. The Topdek system assisted in overcoming site delays caused by the discovery of Roman remains.
The product is a factory pre-engineered composite roof panel comprising a high performance single-ply outer membrane integrally bonded to a Firesafe rigid PIR insulation core, and a steel trapezoidal profile inner deck to provide structural strength. Over 700m of Topdek was fitted. The system also had to accommodate an unusual 45? roof feature.
A new self-coring screw unique to Topdek speeds up the installation process further.
