Ward Insulated Panels reports that it has supplied an insulated roof deck that helped meet tight deadlines on the Anchor Point residential development in Sheffield. The company tells Building Products magazine that Advanced Roofing Ltd installed Topdek supplied with an integral Trocal membrane
to the city centre development of 188 contemporary apartments. Topdek is best described as a factory pre-engineered single fix roof deck that facilitates faster on-site assembly. It comprises a high-performance single-ply PVC outer membrane integrally bonded to a FIREsafe PIR insulation core approved to Loss Protection Certification Board (LPBC) standards with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (zero ODP) and a steel trapezoidal profile inner deck. Richard Clapp, operations director for Advanced Roofing Ltd said: “We have been using Topdek for a long time and it is always the product we recommend to our clients. It is a really efficient product to use because it takes very little time to install. We always work to tight deadlines and, with large projects like Anchor Point, it’s vital that we keep to our schedules. Topdek allows us to do this as it is both easy and quick to fit and makes the whole project run smoothly.”
Ward Insulated Panels has promoted Helen Taylor to its External Sales Team as Area Sales Manager for North East England. Helen joined Ward in September 2004 working for the Internal Sales Team covering the south of the UK from its offices in Sherburn, North Yorkshire. Central Cladding has installed Topdeck from Ward Insulated Panels on an apartment project in Cheltenham. The development incorporates an unusual 'C' shaped building which presented a roofing challenge.
The curved building, which steps from two storeys to four, required tapered roof panels. The versatility, and speed of fitting of Topdeck, the all-in-one single ply roofing system proved the solution.
