Wavin Plastics's OSMA Tegra 600 non-entry inspection chamber has passed rigorous industry tests to achieve a certificate from the BBA.
It is said to be designed for easy installation, inspection and maintenance to non-adoptable drains.
Daily flushing of internal drainage is unavoidable, but silence is golden, especially in flats and apartments. OSMA SiTech is the new noise push-fit soil system now available from Wavin Plastics. It provides a cost-effective and time-saving solution for professional plumbers.
As well as being an easy-fix push-fit system, SiTech is made from a mineral-filled polypropylene, which has the effect of increasing pipe density. This means that it only needs to be encased in 25mm mineral wool wrap where contact between the pipe and the building structure cannot be avoided. This therefore cuts down on installation time, wrapping and tooling costs.
The product has been independently tested for sound reducing performance and helps to achieve the higher acoustic performance standards in buildings as required by the Building Regulations Part E 2003.
Available in black, grey, white and brown, OSMA rainwater diverter kits from Wavin Plastics can be fitted to downpipe guttering. The kit inscludes a a top seal fitted to prevent splash-back and an overflow to divert the water back into the downpipe - stopping the water butt from flooding when full. The kits can be fitted using regular tools and can be used in conjunction with water butts .ge to include the 'full fix' system developed by the company.
aunched less than a year ago AquaCell Lite, the sustainable urban drainage system from Wavin Plastics, is said to be making on impact on developments throughout the UK.
The system has been designed to manage excessive rainfall and reduce the risk of flooding in non-trafficked application such as parks, playing fields and domestic gardens.
Polypropylene modules can be clippled together in single layers then pegged into multiple layers. Water is then released at a controlled rate in a number of ways including soakaways into the ground, public sewers systems or watercourses. The structure is wrapped in a geotextile or geomembrane.
A pervious paving system said to offer a new way to manage raian and surface water drainange has been launched by Wavin Plastics.
Called AquaGrid, it is described as an easy to install alternative to hard impermeable surfacing. There is a solution for both light to medium and heaviily trafficked areas such as open car parking and access roads for verge reinforcement and landscaped areas.
It comes in lightweight interlocking square sections of recycled plastic, designed to receive pervious infill material for surface water drainage.
Meeting the need for a more versatile soil manifold, Wavin Plastics has developed what it believes to be the first six Boss version. The new design fits into 20mm drilled or formed holes. Its six horizontal bosses with dual 40/50mm spigots offer greater versatility for the location of sanitaryware and appliances. The new solvent weld fitting is designed to allow connections for the WC branch and waste runs.
Bringing rainwater under control and guiding it efficiently to the outlet, Wavin Plastics has developed the OSMA StormLine.
The product has a classic ogee profile with a high front edge which has been designed to ensure the safe capture of high volumes of roof run-off under storm conditions.
The high fronted gutter profile conceals the edge of the roof lines resulting in clean lines. The upper edge shape also incorporates an inner rail for concealed fixing of hanging brackets without impeding flow. Internal ribs improve the flow of water to the outlet, preventing leaves sticking to the gutter base and reducing the risk of blockages.
All StormLine fittings have side fixing wings which have retainers for first fit screws, allowing for rise and fall adjustment to ensure line and position. Back fixing holes provide an alternative fixing option.
The product's outlets connect to the company's SquareLine or RoundLine downpipe systems without the need for adaptors.
