For its work on Millington Hall, a 16th century heritage pulic house and restaurant in Cheshire, York Handmade was shortlisted for the Best Refurbishment Project at the 2005 Brick Awards. Some 55,500 of the company's Old Clamp Blend bricks were used on the project, which is one of the oldest brick buildings in the borough of Stockport. The coloured bricks were specified to match the genuine old brickwork.

Bricks for a The Courtyard development in the Wirrall have been supplied by York Handmade Brick Co.. In total, some 100,000 bricks of a specially-mixed version of the Old Clamp blend ? known as Willaston ? were supplied. The bricks have helped the development of 12 modern houses blend with its surroundings.
