Saving of around 40% in the amount of gas used by condensing boilers can be achieved with its GasSaver unit, claims Zenex Energy Saving Technologies. Using thermal store technology, the GasSaver collects wasted energy from the flue system and re-uses it to increase the efficiency of the boiler. It is designed to be easily installed, with the 'top box' design enabling it to be bolted directly onto most commercial and domestic condensing gas boilers then 'plugged' into the flue. Flue gases from the boiler are passed through the unit where they are typically cooled from around 70?C to less that 55?C. This produces a store of hot water at between 50 and 60?C, which is blended into the cold water intake of the boiler.
