Glasroc Rigdur XXL boards from British Gypsum have been designed for the offsite manufacturing sector, where their full panel size format is claimed to offer significant benefits in terms of lining quality, panel stability, installation time and process and cost efficiency. The high density boards are made from gypsum reinforced with recylced paper fibre using a process that is said to give the board a high quality surface finish. The surface does not require any treatment before decoration, removing an operation from the offsite manufacturing process.

Described as a beautiful, dark and rich finish, Cocoa has been created from a composite blend of marbles and pigments. Recently launched by Turnstyle Designs, Cocoa is claimed to give a warm and varied finish that will work well in both traditional and contemporary settings. The product is pictured far right with Combination door levers and complemented with polished nickel metalwork. Cocoa is also said to work extremely well with the company's Dark Bronze metalwork. Turnstyle also says that: 'As well as being rich and beautiful, Cocoa is also extremely practical, it can be used indoors and outdoors and is a great match when used in conjunction with Chocolate leather.'

Aimed at the domestic market, the flat-fronted Ecovector range of energy efficient heat emitters from Smith's Environmental Products are now officially available. Designed along the lines of a low surface temperature radiator it is operated by what is described as an almost silent twin-speed fan. It can be fitted to existing heating systems and can be mixed on the same system with any natural convectors. Another feature of the Ecovector is that its heat exchanger uses just five per cent of the water required for an equivalent output radiator. This low water content means it heats up faster and quickly responds to changing heating requirements dictated by enviromental changes.

Celebrations are under way at a new £4 million housing scheme in Derbyshire as Meden Valley Making Places marks a major milestone. Work to transform the former site of 50 run-down terraced properties in the mining village of Whaley Thorns is nearing completion. Thirty five homes have been built at the Derbyshire location through the MVMP project which is a joint initiative between English Partnerships, East Midlands Development Agency and Bolsover and Mansfield District Councils. The new homes, which have been developed by Bellway have been built to the Ecohomes 'Very Good' standard.

Masterdor door sets have been installed in prefabricated pods at a housing development in Manchester. The pods were all pre-installed with doors, windows and kitchens and then delivered to site where they were installed to form the ground and first floor structures.
