Ansell Lighting Spotlight is on a Sierra |
 The Sierra Luxeon LED Spotlight from Ansell Lighting has been introduced to cater for the growth in external lighting applications.
Sierra is said not only to create attractive lighting effcets, but also takes into account the need for energy effciiency and low ccost maintenance in order to minimise the impact on the environment.
It also offers the advantages of low temperature operation.

CA Group Circus celebrates opening of air tight shed |
 CA Group, the Durham-based building envelope manufacturer, has built a huge distribution warehouse at Houghton Main in Barnsley, using 46,800mē of Twintherm roof, and 6,900mē of Twintherm cladding. To finish the project, 975m of insulated Therma gutter and 650m of the uninsulated were also used.
Low air permeability was accomplished without specialist skills or enhanced detailing, according to Stuart McConnell, the group's roofing technical director: 'The low rating was achieved by attention to detail. CA create as standard 'robust details' for the perimeter of a building which conform to building regulations and make the building incredibly air tight.'
Recent environmental concerns have placed air tightness high on the list of concerns for designers and architects.
A low permeability rate means more warm air is retained in the building, therefore heating costs and environmental impact are reduced. The air tightness performance of the
warehouse is proven by a U value which meets the required building regulation standards.
The warehouse, which celebrated its opening with a circus, contains 77 levelling

Hamilton Litestat Group Artdeco flat goes hi -tech |
 A combination of Linea Rondo plates from Hamilton Litestat, along with the company's Digital Mercury lighting system, have been used in the refurbishment of a luxury art deco apartment in Poole, Dorset.
Developed to suit current minimalist trends, the plates feature grid fix and secret screw fixings, and split finishes.
The Digital Mercury lighting was built as a bespoke system to achieve different effects in various zones. Hamilton used a multi-zone Linea Rondo accessory plate to programme all the areas with one master controller. Engraved remote controls are used throughout.
