Claimed to technologically advanced the flame-free welders have been developed over several years by the company's research and development team in conjunction with roofing contractors all over Europe.
Now patented, they represent a major step forward for the industry with the potential to root naked flames or boilers in the past.
The range comprises an automatic, self-propelled side lap welder for sealing overlaps as well as a full-width welder for fully-bonding membranes and a lightweight hand-held welder for detail work.

The new range includes a surface applied system which protects in depth, and a waterproofing and protection system for joints in concrete.

Rock Asphalte Ltd Waterproofing system keeps rain off visitors |
 A waterproofing system from Rock Asphalte will be keeping the rain off visitors to a new shopping, leisure and residential development in Exeter.
The waterproofing products manufacturer also provided pre-construction input for the 530,000 sq ft Princesshay Shopping Centre.
Over 18,000m of Rock's Fully Bonded Flexiphalte Triple Protection polymer modified asphalt/membrane systems were installed to a number of interlinked roof areas at the shopping centre and the car park areas.

Ardex UK Ltd Ardex supplies BBC Scotland headquarters |
 Ardex UK, suppliers of tile fixing products and adhesives, has been selected to provide natural stone fixing products for the new BBC Scotland Headquarters in Glasgow.
Stone contractors Watson Stonecraft specified Ardex to provide the fixing solution for 1500 mē of Lazenby Stone throughout the interior.
Ardex S 20 incorporates the Ardex Rapidry Formula which combats the problem of water staining occurring in natural stone. This staining is often caused by moisture from traditional tile adhesives being absorbed into stone. Rapidry Formula 'locks' the mix water within the mortar virtually eliminating the risk of water staining.

Icopal Ltd Waterproof membrance is best served cold |
 Building membranes manufacturer Icopal has launched a cold-applied liquid roofing system. The Parapro waterproofing system incorporates a polyester reinforcing fleece between two layers of liquid polyurethane-based coating. This can be applied wet-on-wet, eliminating the need for drying time between coats.
Roofing that cannot be renovated using traditional methods can also benefit from the system, and because it is applied cold using rollers, brushes or squeegees it may also help reduce insurance costs.

Pittsburgh Corning (UK) Ltd Fire insulation is seamless |
 A new roof insulation system using Foamglas cellular glass has been launched by Pittsburgh Corning UK and Liquid Plastics. The cold bonded system incorporates Liquid Plastics' Decothane seamless membrane as a waterproof membrane, and was developed to provide resistance to fire from both within or outside of a building.
It can be used for metal or plywood deck constructions where the risk of fire is greater, or for concrete deck constructions. Foamglas Readyboard 1, slab or tapered insulation, is bonded directly to the deck using Decostik cold fusion adhesive which has been specially developed to provide stronger adhesion and it is easy to apply by pouring on to the deck surface.
When the installation has been completed, Liquid Plastics' carrier membrane is bonded to the surface of the cellular glass insulation using Decostick. This is followed by the application of the Decothane seamless membrane, which uses atmospheric moisture to trigger its curing process. There are no seams or joints, ensuring waterproof protection of the building.

Kemper System Solution means no day-off |
 Pupils at a Preston primary school may have been disappointed that solvent-free Kemperol cold liquid waterproofing was used to repair their leaking roof, for it meant that classes went ahead without disruption and the expected 'day-off', had a traditional solution been used never materialised.
Supplied by Kemper System, BBA-certified Kemperol 2K-PUR is believed to be the UK's only solvent free cold liquid waterproofing. It is applied wet-on-wet, which means projects are completed more quickly and, because there are no laminations it is has an expected working life of 25 years.
