A fast cure multi-purpose adhesive has been launched by Geocel. Called Insta-Stik MP, the company says the adhesive is perfect for fixing plaster board, insulation board and most common building materials.
Despite its compact size each can of the product is said to go further than a bulky 25kg bag of dry wall adhesive with none of the mess, hassle or waste.
Because the product cures to full strength in three to minutes it is quick and easy to use.
Glasroc Rigdur XXL boards from British Gypsum have been designed for the offsite manufacturing sector, where their full panel size format is claimed to offer significant benefits in terms of lining quality, panel stability, installation time and process and cost efficiency.
The high density boards are made from gypsum reinforced with recylced paper fibre using a process that is said to give the board a high quality surface finish.
The surface does not require any treatment before decoration, removing an operation from the offsite manufacturing process.
Ward Insulated Panels has revealed a new environmentally friendly, natural colour coated system for its range of wall and roofing panels.
Ward Spectrum is a "high-quality, polyurethane coated alloy substrate" which the company says is completely free of PVC, Phthalate, heavy metals and Chromate. Ward Spectrum's production process adheres to environmental regulations and the organic coated substrate can be recycled.
Ward has also announced a large contract win in Newmarket. The company was commissioned to supply complete roofing and walling solutions for a warehouse facility on the Oaks, part of the Newmarket Business Park. Over 5,000m² of its IP1000 throughfix insulated panels in Goosewing Grey were used to complete the roof.

Displayed at Interbuild this year will be the Ancon AMR from Sheffield-based Ancon. The product is a steel reinforcement system that locates in the bed joint to strengthen masonry panels without thickening the wall.
The longitudinal steel wires are flattened to less than 3mm to ensure good mortar cover is maintained, even when lapped or used with wall ties. Cross wires are then welded in the same plane.
Available in various standard configurations, the Ancon AMR suits a wide range of structural load conditions and is designed to support wall widths from 100mm to 215mm.

Interbuild will be the launch-pad for an extreme impact resistant partition from British Gypsum for applications where onerous BS5234 Severe Duty Rating does not provide sufficient performance assurance.
Gypwall Extreme is claimed to have been designed to perform beyond the most demanding impact and abrasion resistance criteria. It has been developed in conjunction with specifiers in schools and hospitals, where kicking and glancing impact from trolleys cause damage.

Hall 5 Stand M120
After an absence of more than 10 years, British Gypsum is returning to Interbuild with a stand dedicated to its off-site solutions.
A growing element of the new build market, offsite manufacture is claimed to offer a solution to the quality issue sometimes associated with site-build methods, but also introduces a new set of challenges for manufacturers whose panel systems not only have to compete cost-wise with 'traditionally built' panels, but must be extra robust to cope with the stresses and strains of factory to site transportation.

Internal linings specialist British Gypsum has launched a new ceiling board lining that combines high levels of thermal insulation with 30 minutes fire resistance.
Developed in conjunction with a major housebuilder, the board is an extension of the company's Gyproc ThermaLine Super range, developed to satisfy the fire performance requirements for ceiling membranes in 'room-in-the-roof' constructions.
A laminate of 15mm Gyproc FireLine, a special fire-resistant plasterboard and 40mm high performance phenolic foam, the new 55mm board includes an integral vapour control layer prevent condensation in the roof construction.
It is fixed directly to the underside of joists using 90mm Gyproc Drywall screws.
