London developer Stanhope has appointed interior fit-out specialists Phoenix Interiors as a preferred contractor to provide suspended ceiling and partitioning work on a broad portfolio of projects nationwide. Part of the developers strategic approach is to negotiate work rather than putting specialist packages out to tender.

'It has significant cost implications and we don't waste time assembling project teams,' he said.
Office interior specialist AET has added a new Crystal alternative to its Movinord demountable partitioning ranges. The two existing steel framed systems have been enhanced by the additional option of a vertical dry joint for single glazed modules. Six new colours have been introduced to Quinn Plastics' portfolio of Cast Design products, bringing the number up to 18. The new colours comprise Mexican orange (light orange), village green (light green), Nordic blue (ice blue), Parma violet (light violet, Petra rose (magenta ice) and
glacier green (transparent green).
Cast Design is a cast acrylic sheet covered with either one or two surfaces in a matt, satiny finish. It is soft to the touch, does not stain, reduces finger markings and does not attract much dust. Combined with wood or metal, it can soften harsh colours, reinforce brightness and will subtly filter light.
The product, manufactured in the supplier's Barcelona plant, is designed to be shaped and maintained without losing its essential qualities. Quinn Cast Design retains the 'frosted look' after thermoforming, sawing and drilling and is resistant to many chemical products.
Because the product is said to be hard-wearing, it usually used for in-store displays and signs.
Judith Sanz, Quinn Plastics manager, says: 'The visual communication sector is a major target area for us and we recognise that more and more sophisticated thinking is coming into play. Our extensive range of vibrant and exciting colours will appeal to designers seeking an individually tailored look to their interior and signage pieces.'
